Hey Critter Crew!
It’s been a little while since our last update, our apologies for the gap. We’ve been heads down navigating a number of logistical details to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible from here on out. Thank you all for your patience and support!

Advance Copies Are Here!
We recently received our first advance copies of Canvas Critters, and they turned out beautifully! We couldn’t be happier with how the production quality came together.

We even cut together an unboxing video from CuseCon featuring co-designer Michael Guigliano, who many of you know and love. You’ll also find some gorgeous new photography from Shannon Pepitone showing off all the crittery goodness.

And stay tuned as we have another unboxing video from the game's other co-creator coming soon!

Spark Plays Award!
Canvas Critters scored its very first award (hopefully many more to come). Special thanks for Sparks Play for considering us!

Shipping Is on the Horizon
The shipment is now approaching port/customs, which means it’s time to start collecting addresses and collecting shipping through our backer surveys.

We’ll be sending out smoke tests this week, and if all goes smoothly, the full survey will roll out later in the week. Please keep an eye on your inbox and fill it out as soon as possible so we can get Canvas Critters into your hands in time for the holidays!

Shipping Details & Discounts
Here’s how shipping will work:

U.S. backers in the contiguous U.S. – FREE shipping!
(If you’d like signature confirmation, there will be a small upcharge.)

Other U.S. regions and Canada – You’ll receive a $10 discount on shipping.
These discounts will automatically apply when you complete your survey.

About Tariffs
Given the current uncertainty around tariffs, we’ve decided not to charge any tariffs to backers hoping that those fees are later overturned.
However, for those who’d like to help offset some of these unexpected costs, we’ve created a “Tariff Relief Jar.” Any contributions are completely optional but deeply appreciated.

Bianca Blanco Plushes
Our beloved Bianca Blanco plushes are in production now and almost complete! They’re turning out absolutely adorable, and we can’t wait for you to see them in person.

These plushes will be extremely limited, so if you’ve been on the fence about adding one to your pledge, now is the time! Once they’re gone, they’re gone... and Bianca deserves a good home.

Pledge Manager On The Horizon

Hey all! 

As the summer sun begins to set in the West, and the new school year rises in the East, you can see the pledge manager poking up on the horizon! 

I'll send out another email update when the pledge manager goes live, but we are targeting September 1, 2025 as THE date. 

IMPORTANT 1: I saw this happen often, so if we all can stay ahead of it, shipping and fulfillment will be swift and easy moving forward. fill out the pledge manager as quickly as possible. The faster it's completed, the faster we can get the games to you once they hit the fulfillment warehouse. 

IMPORTANT 2: Those of you with AppleID emails attached to your account, edit them to an email you check on a regular basis. With our Charcuterie campaign, there were too many emails with an AppleID account and our updates for the pledge manager were not reaching the backers. That could be true with this update so I'm going to post a comment about it, too. There is a window for fulfillment on Canvas Critters (see the FAQs). Although the campaign offered free shipping to most, and discounted shipping to others, when we inevitably end up outside the fulfillment window, and you contact us about getting your game, we will have to add shipping charges. Don't let this happen to you! Update your email now. 

Also, if you are planning to move in the coming months, make sure the address on your account info reflects the correct and current shipping address. I'll have more information on when you can expect your copy to arrive, to help with the timeline here, so stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

We're Down To Minutes Left!

Just one quick update while there's still time on the campaign. 

With minutes to go, I wanted to say thank you one more time. I appreciate you being here and supporting the project. 

This game is fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing the art you all make, and the stories that this game brings to your tables.

This Is Only The Beginning!

Although the campain is in it's final hours, the fun is really just beginning!

The Mosaic Competition

There have been some amazing submissions for the competition. When the game releases we'll have another little contest that uses the actual game pieces. For now, get your submissions posted to the social platform of your choice (our discord is also a great place to share), using either real game pieces or by using the app, which can be found here: https://mosaic-shape-serenity.lovable.app/ . 

We had a tremendous moasic come in over the weekend, and I have to share it!

Gen Con 2025

If you're heading to Gen Con in a couple weeks, come by booth #639 and say hi! I'll be there with a prototype of the game, among some other games coming out real soon. In addition, we will have a "biggie" version of Canvas Critters to play, and special guest Bianca Blanco in the booth for photos! Yup... the infamous Bianca will be in attendance. 

On Friday evening, at 8pm, we are having our Canvas Critters Play & Paint event. Attendees will learn how to play Canvas Critters, we'll have some giveaways, and then everyone will be given their own canvas and paint as we all learn as a group how to paint on canvas!

Pledge Manager

The pledge manager will be opening up real soon after the campaign ends. In the past we have has issues with backers that had an AppleID email address. 

THIS IS IMPORTANT: Please make sure your email is an active email that you check regularly, and is NOT an AppleID email. Those seem to not receive the updates or crucial information emails. There's is nothing we can do on our end with these other than send out the information to the email you have on file. 

Please don't be that guy that reaches out 2 years from now asking where their game is, after we tried contacting them 42 times. ;)

The Gallery Is Unlocked!

Happy Friday, backers! 

Thank you all for helping the project cross the $8k mark, unlocking the gallery's full potential! You've helped hang art on the walls! 

The score track will now have art hanging on the (box) walls around the critters. While Luca, Oats, and the rest of the gang are hanging out waiting for you to score points, they'll have lovely art to stare at along the way! 

There are ony a few days left in the campaign. How far do you think this campaign can go? 300 backers? 350 backers?
